FOURDERM

Fourderm cream is a combination of four medicines (clobetasol propionate, neomycin sulphate, miconazole nitrate and chlorhexidine gluconate) that effectively treat skin infections. Uses include burn, scratches, psoriasis, pityriasis rosea and xerosis etc.

Clobetasol is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy.

Neomycin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria that causes skin infections. 

Miconazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungus.

Chlorhexidine gluconate is an antiseptic that cleans out the affected area of the skin to prevent infection.

 

Common side effects of fourderm:

-Irritation 

-Burning sensation at the area of application 

-Thinning of skin 

-Itching
